Written by Charles R. Wells, this book is written for the purpose of documenting the chronological and accurate history of the Dock Boggs Festival. Numerous hours has been dedicated to collect accurate data and information from those who "lived" the history including the author's own personal documents and recollections for 40 years.

Written by Charles R. Wells. "Dock, like so many talented musicians and singer in Southwest Virginia, never had much of a chance at making it in the music world like todays starts. H never had a manager and no one to guide him in the process. However, what Dock left behind is a music and sound that will live for generations to come".

Jean Bricquet and his family, Huguenots, immigrated from France to Charleston, South Carolina in the 1680s, and moved to Westmoreland County, Virginia (probably via Annapolis, Maryland) before 1690. Descendants lived in Virginia, West Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee, Missouri, Illinois, Colorado, California and elsewhere.

Written by Charles Rayburn "Ray" Wells, this is a collection of memories, stories, photos, and names of the people and history of the Dorchester Community.

Encouraged by the author "to write a history of her musical legacy and life so her musical accomplishments would be documented and become local history, especially after she is gone" Dovie agreed if the author would write it for her. As the author states, "This booklet is in no way complete, but the information for the autobiography book was provided by her. It was also taken from clippings, articles, and documents that I kept over the years. It is the story, in part, of her life as well. I know there are lots if things missing, and many others shared and were involved, but it it is based on our relationship and the friendship that we shared, which covers a big portion of her life. We shared many hours and years of good times playing music and dancing together and just talking. I'm very glad that she allowed me to do this for her. She was a great friend whom I miss deeply".
