Most of the early marriage records of Lee County, Virginia are missing. Lee county was formed in 1792 from Russell County. As of 1998 no marriage records have been found prior to 1830. Some records from 1830-1853 have been found and are located in the section titled "Marriage Book I (1830-1853). Marriage book II (1853-1884) is also included.
